Waterproof panel connector- Composition and Construction

AHUA waterproof panel connector, the main core is designed with gold plated copper for wire connect, the plastic part is nylon material, includes housing, end-nut and screw-nut. For the panel plug, it is included hex-nut and gasket. The hex-nut is used for fix the connector on the panel and the gasket is used for waterproof between the panel inside and outside. About the inline connector, it is also included the seal ring with silicone material, that is better for the waterproof on the wire side.

There are two types of waterproof panel connectors, consist of male to female type and no gender type. In usual, male to female type panel connectors are the most commonly used. Moreover, AHUA no gender type panel connector is only design on L connector with screws, it is rarely used in real life.

The male to female type waterproof panel connector include male panel and female panel, such as the male side is panel type plug, the female side is inline connector; or the female side is panel type plug, the male side is inline connector. That is designed for power current safe plug. On the panel side plug, there are two types mounted methods, one is front panel mount and the other one is rear panel mount. The panel installation mode is based on the space of control box, if the inside space is not enough, it need choose front panel mount, it mean that the hex nut is on the outside of control box.

How to choose the waterproof panel connector is based on the requirement of the power and control box panel hole. Meanwhile the cable OD is one of the factors. Before confirmation, it need to make the details clear that, includes voltage rating, current rating, wire gauge, cable outer diameter(OD), panel side gender and panel installation mode. For example, 220V, 10amps, 2pin 1.5mm² wire, OD 8.5mm, male panel side, front panel mount. Then choose the correct connectors accordingly. AHUA waterproof panel connector includes M12, M15, M16, M20, M25, M29, the current rating from 0-35amps, the wire gauge 24AWG(0.204mm²) to 10AWG(5.26mm²). The waterproof level is IP67 / IP68.
