It is 4 contacts connector that we also called it 4 pin connectors. 

This connector is assembly connector that is without cable, which is required the user prepare own cable for cable. Usually, it will be prepare cable before confirm the connector, othersize can not confirm the connector diameter. 

This 4 pin connector carries up to 250V/ 4A power, which is application to daily power electrical circuit. The connector is solder lugs, which is required tin and electrical soldering iron before wire installation.

Male Connector

The male connector is panel mount type plug that is mounted on the panel. This is front panel mount connector, which is meant that the hex nut is in front of panel. 

Female Connector

The female connector is in-line type socket, which is no cable connector. This connector is assembled with components, includes female core, coupling nut, enclosure, cable gland, waterproof nut.

Installation instructions

1. Weld the wires on male solder lugs; take off the hex nut; male plug go through panel hole from box inside; tighten up the hex nut.

2. Cable go through waterproof nut, cable gland, enclosure, weld wires on solder lugs; assemblly components. 

3. Male female connecting.

This 4 pin connector, there are dust caps for male or female connector. 

For male panel: AH-M16-CAP-M

For female socket: AH-M16-CAP-F

How to choose the right connector for your cable？

Choosing the right connector is according to the power, wire gauge, and cable jacket OD. 

For example

Power supply: 220V

Current: 4A

Wire Gauge: 4*20AWG

Cable OD: 5.5mm

How to choose the right cable gland for your cable?

The right cable gland will be better for rwaterproof effect. The cable will go through the gland, so that the cable OD will required smaller than cable gland inside diameter but close to the insde diameter. Below datasheet just for reference.
